I think it’s safe to say that the stomach bug has gone to visit some other house. That was an unwelcome visit! Quick question… is your husband as dramatic as mine when he’s sick?! The hubs asked me to take his temperature almost every hour. Don’t you wonder how they would react going through labor and delivery? 🙂
Greyson’s cousins came over to play the other day. I think the jungle gym was a hit. We also had a picnic in the backyard. It’s always fun to watch your own kid having a lot of fun.
My Grandpa and Grandma had a sleep over/slumber party last night. Grandma and I made a quick run to Target to load up on game night essentials. Gelato, rocky road ice cream (yes, we each had to pick one), trail mix, pringles (again, we each had to pick a different flavor), and some chocolate covered raisins. We take game playing very serious in our family 🙂 Today consisted of more games and then a quick visit and lunch at their place. A perfect end to a perfect sleep over!
Tonight I went to Sherwin Williams to pick up some paint samples. We are having our house painted this Summer. Somehow though, I ended up at Lowe’s garden center. I loaded the jeep with bags of soil and bought some eggplants, cucumbers and different squashes. If the garden turns out good this year, I think I’ll try seeds next year. I have much more to buy till the garden is full, but I do better planting a little at a time… especially because I’m a beginner at this whole garden thing. And no, I don’t have the patience to wait till the first week of May so I sure hope it doesn’t freeze anytime soon.
It’s the season for salads! Our dinner consisted of grilled chicken Asian salad with sesame ginger dressing, roasted parmesan asparagus and a cucumber tomato salad topped with basil feta cheese and dressed with oil & vinegar.
We have a new bedtime routine for the little man. It actually started today. It’s usually bath then directly to bed, but tonight Cody was gone so I skipped his bath and we curled up in the rocking chair in his room with our jammies on and read books. Lots and lots of books. We had fun though so I hope he remembers that and sleeps in till 8 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
