Falling out of Fall

Well, this morning we woke up to the first snowfall of the year.  It’s beautiful indeed, until you have to fetch a deaf dog in the yard and lug a kid in and out of stores trying to keep him warm.  I pride myself with being a safe winter driver being from Wisconsin and all, but I was humbled 3 minutes later as I was fishtailing all over the road.  I really do love Winter though (and my deaf dog and my child.)

The fact is, Fall is my favorite season of the year, and I feel like it’s almost gone!  I haven’t even had a chance to light the candles on the table or buy corn stalks for front patio.  Maybe, just maybe, I’ll get around to making pinecone garland for the fireplace.
